I am getting ready to start my second series of childbirth classes, and this time around I will be both a teacher and a student. Because this time I am expecting too! Thankfully, I won't be "extremely" pregnant during the summer months as the baby isn't due until December. Most of my students will be towards the end of their second trimester and facing the reality of being pregnant in the dog days of summer. Hopefully our time together in the cool air conditioning will be refreshing, as well as helpful in preparing them for the big day ahead when they get to meet their little ones.
If you have ever been pregnant during the summer, do you have any tips for keeping cool and comfortable in the midst of the heat? I would love to hear your ideas. I can share them with my students, and use them myself too as I will be at summer camp during June and July. In hot, humind, muggy Arkansas!
