Great little nursery rhyme, but I don't think the Peter I am talking about is going to be eating any pumpkins any time soon.
This little Peter is the latest of my students' babies! Peter surprised his mama and arrived a couple of weeks early, but I don't think she really minds. :) Peter made his grand entrance on January 11 at 8:49 p.m., just over 4 hours after his mama arrived at the hospital. He weighed in at 6 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 18 inches long. He is just a precious little thing! I hear that Peter is doing quite well. In fact, he's a strong little guy. His mom posted a video on facebook of him rolling over...at 5 days old! I guess Peter doesn't like to wait and wants to do everything early -- why stop at being born before his "due date"! :) I am excited to watch Peter grow as I follow his mom on facebook. This little dude is going to go places!

I am so very excited! In just a couple of weeks I will start a new series of childbirth classes. I thought it was going to be a private class for one couple, but as it turns out I will have THREE couples for this new series. What a great way to start the new year!
I am so looking forward to meeting these three couples and getting to know them as we prepare for the births of their precious children. We, well THEY, have babies due in March, April, and July. I am thrilled at the opportunity to help their parents get ready for the big day when they enter the world and make it an even better place :) Having just had my own baby less than a month ago, I am on a "birth high" and even more passionate about helping others have a wonderful birth experience. I honestly think that I have one of the best jobs in the world -- I get to stay at home with my lovely girlies and then teach other people about childbirth on the weekends. The only thing that could make my "work" better is if I could attend more births and personally help welcome my students' precious little ones to the world! (I am working on that though, as I get to be a doula for my dear friends come February!) So, like I said earlier this new year is off to a great start |
Sarah YoungWho am I? Well, I wear quite a few hats actually. I am a wife and mother, a daycare provider, a natural birth instructor, an athlete, a daughter, an aunt, a sister-in-law, a friend, and most importantly a lover of Christ. Archives
